Puerto del Carmen is a firm favourite with families and young couples alike making it Lanzarote’s most popular resort. With three kilometres of sandy beach and a superb variety of nighlife, restaurants and bars on offer, its easy to see why.  Just two kilometres away is the smaller resort of Matagorda with its pleasant ambience and small shopping centre with a good selection of bars and restaurants. Playa de Los Pocillos is a quieter suburb of Puerto de Carmen, boasting its own horseshoe-shaped beach and a range of shops bars and restaurants to choose from. The promenade which runs along here offers a pleasant stroll into Puerto del Carmen.

Costa Teguise is famous for its pale sandy beach making it perfect for beach lovers in search of relaxing atmosphere. There is also a choice of activities such as windsurfing, 18 hole golf course and a waterpark. Playa Blanca is situated on the south-west coast and was once a small fishing village. Today it is a relaxed resort with three beaches and a marina offering a pleasant choice of cafes, shops and restaurants.
